What it is:

Each year, Rasmussen University produces an anthology of student created poetry, essay, and short story writing. Student design work is included for the cover and as illustrations for parts of the anthology. 

Who is eligible:

The anthology is open for all students to participate and contribute their work. Submissions will occur through an online process of application and selection.

Rasmussen University is excited to announce a leadership and co-curricular opportunity for students: Rasmussen University Student Advisory Council (RUSAC).

This group of students will be able to represent their peers and make a difference in the community.

What Will You Do?

  • Meet regularly with your fellow council members
  • Discuss current issues and decisions impacting the student community
  • Serve as a liaison between the student body and the university
  • Grow your leadership skills through professional development as part of the Rasmussen Leadership Academy relaunch. 

How Do I Get Involved?

  • Choose which position you’d like to apply for: Council Chair, Vice Chair or Administrative Note-Taker
    • You can also get involved as a General Participant and bring topics to the council you feel are important.
  • Complete and submit your application for your chosen position. *Please note: Applications close 12/16/24 and will reopen again in the fall of 2025.
  • Include a recommendation letter from a faculty or staff member, community leader, or employer. (Form linked below)

Am I Eligible?

To be eligible to join the Student Advisory Council, you must:

  • Be actively enrolled in a program ​
  • Have a cohort status of Q2+​
  • Meet Satisfactory Standards of Academic Progress per program requirements​.
    • 2.0+ GPA for undergraduate programs
    • 3.0+ GPA for graduate programs
  • Have proven leadership acumen, commitment to personal growth and development, the ability to represent diverse perspectives and a passion for inclusiveness and the mission of Rasmussen University​.

Rasmussen Leadership Academy Participation

The Rasmussen Leadership Academy provides high-achieving students the opportunity to explore their strengths, apply them to leadership opportunities, and utilize these strengths as role models in the workforce, community, with families, and in their college experience.

In 2025, the Rasmussen Student Advisory Council will include participation in the Leadership Academy. RUSAC participants can enhance their leadership skills while contributing to the university community and culture. Participants will receive a Leadership Academy professional development certificate upon successfully completing their RUSAC service expectations.
