Nursing Success Resources

Introduction

Students in the Practical Nursing Diploma program, Professional Nursing Associate’s program, and the Accelerated BSN (A-BSN) Entrance Options in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program are required to complete a dosage calculation quiz before administration of medications. This guide has been created to support your success and assist as you prepare and practice dosage calculations. We believe it is essential to prepare for safe dosage calculations using the different methods provided that best support your learning style. It is important for you to practice the different types of calculations before you take the dosage calculation quiz.

Dosage Calculation Policy: Please refer to the School of Nursing Undergraduate Handbook for the policy related to dosage calculation.

There are five topic areas to support your development and success for safe dosage calculations included in this resource:
