How to Use the Hybrid Instruction Guide

WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF HYBRID INSTRUCTION -- WHERE DO YOU FIT? 

  • Online+ -- Online courses with a live classroom component built into the curriculum. These courses are present across all Schools, and all AcceleratED courses are considered Online+ as well.
  • FLEX Residential -- Face-to-face time on campus and an online component to house materials for review, administer assessments & serve as a communication tool characterize this learning environment.
  • Campus Connect -- Unique campus-based courses, utilizing FLEX50/FLEX100 delivery, in which students connect with faculty & other classmates using HD video telepresence technology. Students and faculty are both present on campus for the class, but students can connect from multiple campuses to build a more robust learning community.

HOW TO USE THIS TRAINING GUIDE

Are you teaching an Online+ course (either for the first time or 7th time)? -- Checkout the Online+ tab, organized according to your stage of development (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced). Tips on what to do before, during & after a virtual classroom session, easy to follow printable guides.

Are you teaching a FLEX course residentially this term? -- Check out the Instructional Techniques tab to find ways to integrate multimedia content, discussion & collaborative activities into your course that help blend the residential classroom time with the online course shell. Be sure to connect with your Dean to get enrolled in the FLEX Instruction training course offered through our Angel LMS.
