Intro to Health Information Management

**Using the feedback from your instructor on your PowerPoint document, make any updates and modifications to your document prior to your presentation.**

You will be tasked with recording your presentation of the PowerPoint document through the free screen-capture site, Screencast-o-Matic: https://www.screencast-o-matic.com.  Screencast-o-Matic is a program that can perform screen and audio capture up to 15 minutes for free.  It can be utilized on a Windows or Mac computer without downloading any software.

Your presentation should include an introduction, a concise discussion of each slide, and a conclusion.  The presentation will be assessed on your overall knowledge of the content, clarity of your voice, pronunciation of words, organization of your presentation, proper recording of your presentation, overall aesthetics and professionalism, and general clarity to your presentation.  Your presentation should be a minimum of 5 minutes and maximum of 15 minutes and should be uploaded to YouTube.  The YouTube web link to your presentation should be submitted to the dropbox so your instructor can assess your overall presentation.

Screencast-o-Matic has the ability of uploading your recorded presentation directly to YouTube.  If you are unable to upload your video directly to YouTube, please follow the instructions in the video below to download an .mp4 file of your video, then use the "How to upload a video to YouTube" link.  You need a Google account in order to upload to YouTube directly from Screencast-o-matic or through youtube.com.  If you already have a Gmail account, you can use your existing account.  Click here for more information about Google accounts.

Once you have uploaded your video to YouTube, you need to share your video with your instructor by submitting the video link in your course dropbox.  When you upload your video to YouTube, the privacy settings must be set to Public or Unlisted in order for your instructor to be able to view the video.

Screencast-o-matic and YouTube are both browser-based technologies.  There should be no need for installing software to complete the assignment.  Screencast-o-matic may prompt you to update/run Java on the computer you are using.  If you are using a campus computer and run into issues with Java being out of date and are unable to proceed, please reach out to your advisor.
