Citing your sources is essential because it gives proper credit to the original authors and ideas, thus acknowledging their contributions and avoiding plagiarism. Citations provide readers with the information needed to verify sources and further explore the research, enhancing the credibility and reliability of your work.

How to find the Cite feature

  1. Click on article title in your results list to load the article record.
  2. Click the Cite button along the top of the page. This button often looks like a quotation mark.
  3. Select APA from the style drop down menu.
  4. Copy and paste into your paper.
  5. Check reference for accuracy.
