Grammarly

Plagiarism Checker

Along with checking for grammarmechanicsspelling, and word usage, Grammarly can check for plagiarism.

Note - Grammarly's plagiarism review only checks against some internet sources, not books or articles. Grammarly does not scan content behind paywalls or require a login (like library article databases).

  • Login to your Grammarly account.
  • Click on the New option with the piece of paper icon.
  • Copy your paper and paste the contents into the Grammarly window
  • A pop-up appears asking you to set goals for the Grammarly review. You can close out of this since you only use Grammarly to check for plagiarism.
  • Click "Plagiarism" in the bottom right-hand corner of the web page.
  • Grammarly may take a few minutes to scan the entire document for matches.
  • Once the scan is complete, you will see that Grammarly tells you what percentage of the content it identified as matching with content from the internet.
