Background
I hail from Indiana, where, with much rigor, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Purdue University.  I began my career building websites, indexing and synthesizing published web content, and writing copy for web publishing. I have 27 years of experience in web design and development. I chose to advance my career and earn my Master’s in Library and Information Science (MLIS) from The University of South Carolina, graduating with honors recognition.

After ten years of medical librarianship supporting practitioners, faculty, and students, I moved on to leadership at an exclusively online university. I have spent the past ten years in servant leadership and project management duality, constantly adhering to the theories and practice of andragogy and heutagogy. I joined Rasmussen University in May 2023 as the Director of Library and Learning Services.

Areas of Expertise
Servant Leadership, expert at team development, coaching students and professionals, medical research, and SME for information literacy, medical, and evidence-based research.

Personal Interests
I enjoy quiet activities like hiking, reading, swimming, kayaking, and hunting for shark teeth on the shore. My husband and I own a pool-building company that keeps me busy. I love live music and travel. I have teen twins who are the most fascinating people I know.
