  • Position: The Market Assistant will support operations at Today’s Harvest, assisting with all aspects of market operation.
  • Hours: Flexible schedule 10-15 hrs/week. Hours available for work are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm and Saturday 10am-1pm.
  • Duties and Responsibilities: The Market Assistant will support the sorting of food donations, putting food in coolers and displays, assisting customers, and restocking shelves and coolers as needed during market hours.
  • Qualifications & Experience:  Physical ability to load and unload boxes and bags on a regular basis, up to 50 pounds; Strong communication and customer service skills; Retail or grocery experience a plus; Bilingual in Spanish or Hmong a plus

Temporary Program Assistant (job description will be posted in near future)

  • Position: The Program Assistant will support program operations of CCEFS direct service programs, including our Mobile Food Shelf distributions and on-site food programs.
  • Hours: Flexible schedule 10-15 hrs/week. Hours available for work are generally daytime (8am-4pm) with evening hours on Thursdays until 6pm and on some Saturdays. We can work with candidates to determine the schedule that would work best based on mutual needs.
  • Responsibilities will include: Assisting with program operations, including food sorting, direct distribution, and assisting clients; Loading and unloading food and supporting off-site food distributions at Landfall and Cimarron mobile home parks; Managing specific aspects of services, including the choice racks where people can select specific items like diapers, pet food, special dietary needs, culturally relevant food items, and more; Entering service data into our database
  • Qualifications & Experience:  Excellent communication and customer service skills; Physical ability to stand for extended periods and load and unload boxes and bags on a regular basis, up to 50 pounds; Experience using databases, basic spreadsheets, and online forms; Bilingual in Spanish or Hmong a plus; Understanding of and commitment to CCEFS’s mission

Volunteer Program Assistant (job description will be posted in near future)

  • Job Duties: This position will provide vital assistance for our Volunteer program, which manages more than 125 volunteers each year. Program duties will include: Helping set up and manage our new Volgistics online volunteer management system; Enter the volunteer shift information into the database, set up volunteer schedules, and train volunteers in the new system; Track volunteer hours and manage volunteer needs – t-shirts, nametags, etc.; Create volunteer orientation forms and assist with volunteer training
  • Skills Needed:  Candidates should be outgoing, comfortable with technology, Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and comfortable working with people of all ages.
  • Hours/week: Up to 20 hours per week
  • Schedule: Flexible. We would prefer that some of the hours overlap our client service hours (Mondays 12-4, Wednesday 11-1, Thursday 3-7. Friday 9am-1:30pm)

Community Outreach Program Assistant (job description will be posted in near future)

  • Job Duties: This position will support our Community Outreach work, including: Creating marketing and outreach materials; Tracking and maintaining our inventory of marketing materials; Representing CCEFS at community or outreach events; Entering donations into our donor database and sending donor acknowledgements; Supporting new public outreach events/tours of our food shelf
  • Skills Needed: Candidates should be outgoing, comfortable with technology, Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and comfortable working with people of all ages.
  • Hours/week: Up to 20 hours/wk
  • Schedule: Flexible, mostly during regular office hours. Some evenings/weekends might be needed for special events.
