What are RasU Student Organizations?

A RasU Student Organization is a co-curricular activity at Rasmussen University occurring outside the standard curriculum, and enriching the growth and learning of the whole student, while demonstrating the purpose and values of the Mission Statement, Student Learning Outcomes, and the Transferable Skills. Such organizations and activities are intentional and planned, and are implemented based on clear criteria.

Participation and engagement in RasU Student Organizations and Activities is:

  • An opportunity to develop soft skills, professionalism, and other transferable skills
  • Career-related and focused, providing valuable additions to resumes

Getting Involved

To get started with program-specific organizations and activities:

Step 1: Use the tabs on the left to find information about RasU Student Organizations and co-curricular activities offered to students at Rasmussen University.

Step 2: Determine if you are eligible to participate in an organization or activity based on the eligibility criteria located on the tab.

Step 3: Complete the Interest Survey for the organization or activity you are interested in joining

Step 4: Receive confirmation and information from the organization/activity sponsor

Assessing the Student Experience

The assessment of Co-curricular activities includes student self-reflection regarding their learning experiences in relation to the University Mission and their programs of study and the demonstration of Transferable Skills.  RasU Student Organization sponsors to evaluate the overall effectiveness of the activities and student learning outcomes as part of the assessment process.
